NEW AutoMeter Products Deliver Head-Turning Performance & Style

If you’re into cars, you’re into AutoMeter. Those of you using anything else just don’t know it yet.

Car-loving tech company, AutoMeter, has been up to some pretty exciting things lately. Several new products hit the market this past year, and two even nabbed some coveted awards at the most recent SEMA360 show.

What’s admirable about AutoMeter’s product lineup (not just the winners) is how the brand makes it possible for you to tap into any application with style. Pro-touring car or off-road machine, AutoMeter ensures you wind up with a gauge system that works for you—even if you’re taking on projects that are a little off the beaten path. Stick around, and you’ll see what we mean.

DashLink 2.0

One of the most trick products on the market, by far, is the AutoMeter DashLink 2.0.

Everyone says it, but it doesn’t make it any less true: We rely on our phones for everything in today’s day and age. But between the targeted ads and invasive geo-tracking, wouldn’t it nice if that device could do something a little less creepy and a little more useful? While you can already use a smartphone as a speedometer, Autometer’s DashLink 2.0 lets you take things further creating a comprehensive virtual dashboard.

The system essentially turns your smartphone or tablet into a functional gauge cluster. Not only that, it records acceleration, averages on fuel consumption, access to essential tuning information, and reads trouble codes.

The AutoMeter DashLink 2.0 with late-model Ford enhanced PIDs took First Runner-Up in the Mobile Electronics Product Category at SEMA360.

DashLink 2.0 supports all OBD-II and EOBD compliant vehicles sold worldwide. That means, this product is not for everyone. However, if you’re running an OBD-II system, it would be silly to look past this helpful device. In addition to providing virtual gauges, data logging, performance information, and even monitoring parameters you wouldn’t see on your stock dash, DashLink 2.0 replaces costly scanning tools.

The ability to use your phone or tablet as a gauge cluster can also help your budget. Scooping up a used iPad or resurrecting an old smartphone is far more affordable than investing in a custom gauge cluster. Plus, with fun personalization features in the app, you can still control how the display looks and feels. Use it temporarily while you save for a top-tier aftermarket setup or keep it for the long haul. Either way, DashLink 2.0 gives you greater control over your vehicle and offers a solid alternative to installing gauges.

lnVision Digital Dash

Speaking of gauge clusters, AutoMeter still has the department covered. The brand’s InVision Digital Dash is well-known among enthusiasts. Most recently, AutoMeter expanded the line to include fitment for 95-98 Chevy Trucks.

The ‘90s gave us a lot of great things, but the dash on these trucks was not one of them. The gas gauge in particular is enormous, taking the place of the tach. And while there is an ammeter, oil gauge, and temp gauge, the only gauge that is remotely intuitive is the speedometer – and accuracy throughout is questionable.

AutoMeter’s InVision Digital Dash not only improves the look of the dash, but also provides much more information. Plus, with a 12.3” LCD display featuring three user-selectable screens, it’s easy to read and intuitive to operate. Unless you’re married to the classic look, this is the way to go.

The lnVision Digital Dash for 95-98 Chevy Trucks took Second Runner-Up in the Van/Pickup/Sport-Utility Product Category at SEMA360. Monitor your speedometer, tachometer, fuel level, oil pressure, water temperature, and volts all in one place.

While not a direct bolt-in product, all kits include a wiring harness and sending units for water temperature and oil pressure as well as a joystick for dash customization. Upgrade your worn, outdated, or inaccurate dash with the latest, modern LCD offering from AutoMeter.

Fuel Bridge

Sometimes, a simple job turns into more trouble than it’s worth. And, sometimes, a company makes the perfect solution.

With mainstream applications, finding an aftermarket gauge isn’t usually an issue. However, because the sending unit needs to match the fuel level gauge, oddball vehicles can present a problem. AutoMeter’s Fuel Bridge allows you to match any stock or aftermarket sending unit to any AutoMeter fuel gauge. That means, instead of dropping the tank and making an aftermarket unit work, you can just plug this in place and hook up any AutoMeter gauge you want.

While aftermarket sending units are usually a little more affordable, the cost of one stacked onto the labor of making it work easily justifies the price of this unit. Plus, the Fuel Bridge’s triple push button with LED display allows for an incredibly easy setup, saving you time – and aggravation.

Auto Gauge 3¾” Pedestal Tachometer

If great performance at a great value is your bag, check out AutoMeter’s new 3 ¾” Pedestal Tachometers. Available in 0-10,000 RPM, this tach features a massive face with incandescent shift light – handy if you’re winding deep into the right-hand digits. The unit is compatible with 4, 6, and 8-cylinder engines with points or electronic ignitions and 12-cylinder racing ignitions.

For the most part, this is a race-oriented deal, but it’s a must-have for real screamers. And because it’s got that iconic pedestal styling and the choice of a black or white face, it’ll look cool in any vehicle.

E-POWER 800 Power Pack

In my opinion, these portable power packs should be in every car. Granted, I’ve motored around in my share of lemons, but I’ve also used these to jump-start plenty of other motorists.

At less than $70, the price can’t be beat. The unit comes from a reputable name, with that name plastered all over it, and you’re still paying a reasonable price—that’s rare. Plus, in addition to jumping gas engines with displacements of up to 4.5 liters and 3.5-liter diesel, the E-POWER 800 Power Pack also serves as a power bank battery, laptop power bank battery, and a flashlight.

It might not be capable of juicing that big block, but it’ll certainly keep you covered for the daily commute. And with all those USB charging ports, you can keep the whole fam connected – digitally, at least.

Direct Fit Dash Panel Update

For many enthusiasts, these direct-fit dash panels are considered some of the best products on the market. The series itself is not new, but AutoMeter constantly updates applications in the line. With hundreds of makes and models available, including over 50 new models in 2020, these panels easily replace worn, faded, or outdated dashes while maintaining a factory-fresh look.

Remember, if you’re working with a classic, chasing down factory gauges gets expensive fast. That leaves few options: either retrofit some aftermarket gauges to your existing cluster, make your cluster from scratch, or scatter gauges throughout the cabin. AutoMeter provides an easy and stress-free solution to dash modifications. Plus, all units are made in the USA from durable, thermoformed UV-protected ABS material, in a high-quality finish designed to complement any interior.
